jessikastPostponing Rocky tonight - we're going to plan to go next week.
This is on account of a) we're both tired, b) we have guests, and c)
MY FUCKING STOVE TOP EXPLODED. AND I WAS LOOKING RIGHT AT IT. AND AN HOUR LATER I AM STILL SEEING SPOTS.
Luckilyblairette and Ru were kind enough to turn around about ten minutes after getting into our house and going out to get Chinese takeaways, seeing as dinner was now uncookable and I was basically all FAIL.
I think that the element shorted which made a "popping" sound, at which point I removed the pot from the stove at which point there was MOTHER FUCKING SHOWER OF SPARKS NO LIE and I was looking right at it. It was spectacular. And blinding.
The entire stove and oven are now totally dead. I will be taking a repair request to the landlords first thing tomorrow morning, yes I will.
