jessikastChristmas is nearly over, and I'm making my way through my to-do list in order to get ready for going away tomorrow.
(Clothes! I need them! I have no problems packing for a North Island trip, but I'm not sure what the South Island is like at this time of year. How heavy a jacket do I need? Will I need jeans, or will they be too heavy? FEEL FREE TO ADVISE ME.)
SPCA this morning was pretty cool - lots of yummy food out for us; I was cleaning up after puppies and since I was done early I spent about half an hour playing with a litter of six adorable little black-and-tan puppies until they got all tuckered out and fell asleep all around me, awwww; and I somehow got roped into agreeing to be a co-supervisor for one of my shifts next year. Oops?
Spent the afternoon eating and watching things and eating some more with laputain. I don't think I'll need to eat for about two days now. Except Mum said she was making mince pies, so I suppose I might be able to have one. Or two.
(Highlight of the Family Phonecall today: hearing my grandmother read out, complete with commentary, the instructions for a She-Wee. Omfg, I laughed so hard.)
And now: Yuletide!!! I have been gifted a fabulous Hustle fic: Collisions, by anonymous. Go! Read! Comment! It is adorable and hot and is Ash/Sean with a fake marriage. I may have flailed a LOT.
I suspect I won't have time to really work my way through the archive til after I'm back from my holiday in January, at which point I'm supposed to be planning to move house, so it may be some time before I can get through everything. But a that's fine: by Jan, other people will have done all the reading for me, and I can go straight to the recs lists. lol.
